Patience & The Investors Mentality

Patience & The Investors Mentality

For most of us we don’t know where we will be in ten – twenty years time, so we tend not to think about it.

In a world where there is now ‘too much choice’ how does one know what to choose or how to apply oneself?

Why do we get consumed by present distractions like Football, Reality TV etc when we could be applying that energy to something more constructive and relative to our needs…

This is an especially difficult subject & choice for the millennial generation (I myself being one of them), how do we choose our paths and define ourselves whilst staying in a solid direction for the long term…

The answer is to have Patience & The Investors Mentality!

Now for the majority of us millennials patience isn’t exactly our strongest suit, in fact we are extremely instant like babies.. We want everything NOW, minus the hard work and humility it takes to get it.

We see celebrities living the glamorous life, we argue over sports teams (which have made their WEALTH already) and we understandably want that quality of life.. who doesn’t?

There is no patience and that is where the problem lies, everyone expects it to all happen instantly and usually life doesn’t work like that.

By taking an investors mentality on-board you start to see things for the long term rather than being short sighted and expecting instant gratification.

So what am I talking about, it probably sounds like I’m giving millennials a hard time..

I mean if you understand what an investor actually is then you begin to start understanding things in a more larger perspective.

A real investor doesn’t just trade stocks on Forex or on the FTSE100, no, an investor is someone who postpones present pleasure for future payouts!

Now does it make more sense?

By applying the investor mentality you will Postpone Present Pleasure For Future Payouts.

So how do we apply this and execute this, Loose the consumer mentality! a study was done in the United States that the average person saves $2 for every $100 they earn!

Well start with your mindset on how you view your own decisions, for example if you want to learn something new but have to pay $1000 for the course, look at it as a investment in your own career, in yourself..

How will this benefit you in the long run? Will it help you get that job with the big salary?

It’s all about the bigger picture basically, try not to look at whether it will give instant amazing results but if it is going to help you retire earlier.

Down below is a video by a guy called Tai, you probably seen him before he talks about it too watch it from 4.30 to hear about the investor mentality information, I probably do my own video about this stuff in the coming weeks! So watch out for that!

Motivation To Eat Well?

I Need Motivation To Eat Well!

Hey guys, it’s been awhile since I last put up a blog on here so I thought I owe it to you all to keep the momentum going!

I found a great blog that has FAST, HEALTHY, FILLING meals check it out >> www.awesomehealthyrecipes.com or carry on reading to know more about the story!

Recently I got lazy with my eating habits, I lacked the motivation to eat well so nothing major or serious but a few BAD HABITS started creeping in!

Most of what I eat would be processed foods to fit around being busy and not being focused enough to simply put together real, quality foods.

I felt bloated and sluggish like my core strength was loosing density and becoming soft and weak, I knew a few things had to be refined!

To help keep my protein levels high but feel satisfied after eating (I have a fast metabolism so I eat loads!) I cooked plenty of fish and chicken, reserving the heavier meats like beef, goat, pork etc to once a week, but I still made sure I had more than enough meat in my diet as I love meat!

I decided to do some research and learn some recipes myself, quick healthy ones so I wont be spending hours cooking!

It dawned on me that I had indeed lost my motivation to eat well and needed to refine my bad habits into good ones.

Suddenly I came across a sort of blog with ways to cook really tasty meals and even some dieting programs too…

There was a wide variety of different meals and even some suggestions for vegetarians!

It really helped me and I now make sure I eat more filling yet healthier foods, I really like the healthy dinner recipes!

The site is still adding new recipes and is looking like a great source of information for people who want to eat delicious, filling food but in a healthy and time friendly way.

Check it out here and learn some new recipes! http://awesomehealthyrecipes.com/

Motivational Theories

Hey guys, I made a short video today about motivation CLICK HERE TO SEE IT, I feel I need to explain and pick apart the subject of ‘motivation’ a bit more, so I did some very efficient thinking in motivational theories…

I was thinking if so many people want to become motivated, or need to know how to apply their motivation (eagerness, desperation, energy etc) they need to be able to identify the demands or needs as a source of energy for their motivation.

Have You Ever Been Asked To Draw An Emotion?

This lead me to think how would one describe motivation, or better yet how would we draw it?

Would we describe or draw it to reflect our demands, or needs to satisfy the goals we seek to achieve, or fill the void that is essentially made up of our satisfaction.

Or is it just simply a term we use to describe neediness and emotional satisfaction.

From my research I say motivation is simply made up of three steps, lets cover it in more detail…

Needs

People will always need something, fortunately we all have different needs which balances things out, you may have something I value and need while in return I may have something you value and need.

This means we have to try to understand each others needs and who needs what in order to boost productivity in any aspect of our society.

Having a need can be a trigger for a motivational flashpoint, as the need is the pretext to the behavior required to make change.

Whether in a positive or negative manner.

The need can be anything, the motivational flashpoint is what bridges the need with the behavior and governs how the behavior will be based on the flashpoint.

Example: If somebody Needs to learn a particular method of solving a mathematic equation they could either;

  • Fall asleep and procrastinate.
  • Realize that in order to solve the equation they have to take action (motivate themselves) to think and educate themselves to be able to follow the necessary steps to completion.
  • Take action but apply it in the wrong way, using the wrong type of learning methods or rather not think logically, therefore fucking up the equation.

Basically the Need is what triggers the thought process, the motivational flashpoint I talk about is what governs a good foundation for logical behavior.

Behavior

The behavior is based again on the needs of the person, the behavior is factored by many things, as Maslow’s theory states:

  • self-actualization,
  • esteem,
  • safety,
  • physiological.

Our behavior and characters determine how motivated we can get and how well we can stick to the good habits we might try to develop or maintain.

The motivational flashpoints help to guide and focus the right type of motivation for the right results.

Satisfaction

The biggest motivator of all, but often the hardest to obtain, you have made and achievement, you have seen the proof, you know you can do it.

The satisfaction creates a sense of well-being that in turns gives the confidence and esteem to do more, to go that extra round!

It creates a mental bar to live by and creates powerful emotions like inspiration, happiness and motivation is a product of inspiration after all.

This is why one of my motivational flashpoints is actually envision it or see it, imagine yourself where you want to be… Replicate that feeling of satisfaction to help you condition (in a positive manner) what it will be like when you reach the objective you have set.

How To Get Motivated

How To Get Motivated

People often say ‘ I need to know How To Get Motivated’ The best question to ask yourself is What’s YOUR motivation? What do I get out of all this?

Definition Of Motivationhow to get motivated

Motivation, what is it?, where does it come from? From my own research motivation is a product of good habits, mental disciplining & personal strength.

It is surely something to take seriously because it’s what makes us do the things we do, without it many great events throughout the history of our species wouldn’t have happened whether for the good or bad.

Without motivation would the Million Man March in Washington D.C. in 1995? ….

Can motivation be measured?

Can it be given to us (spiritual or inspirational means) or is it simply a product of our personalities through knowledge, experiences, emotions, diet or even by the varied personalities we encounter with different people in our day to day routines.

Indeed the list is endless and everyone will have their own unique viewpoint and certainly their own ways to become motivated and there are ways to help get motivated more easily but from my OWN experiences and CRITICAL THINKING and RESEARCH.

I found that motivation comes from some kind of revelation or experience, some might even call it an epiphany.

A whole list of methods can be used by us or used towards us to guide, control or sway where our motivation takes us!

Motivational Video & Getting Motivated Visually

Everyone likes a motivational video, it gives them the excuse they need to make an attempt at something they would normally procrastinate (TRUTH).

It is kind of like the old saying we want what we can’t have, you see a very good sales video will always try to motivate you to create a action, it aims for your mind, to make you take action and in the greatest respect ‘program’ the habits to entice you to do as the video commands.

Whether or not you stick to those habits is another topic but as a matter of fact motivation is actually fueled in a number of cases by a visual response, seeing proof of someone doing well is motivation, envy in some cases can motivate certain positive or negative action, seeing people suffering triggers a response etc

I call this the MOTIVATIONAL FLASHPOINT sort of like a moment of truth or a kick up the ass to get you going to where ever you want to go whether it’s a six figure salary or just a more positive outlook to life.

I believe we can all motivate ourselves and achieve a better existence just by following a few simple small steps but can lead to a huge change in everything we do.

How To Get Motivated? … Promote Something You Enjoy, Do Something You Love Doing, Build Something and share it with humanity

Like I stated before through CRITICAL THINKING and RESEARCH I have managed to identify four steps to help us stay motivated through even the toughest of times because a spanner is always likely to be thrown into the works at the least expected time!.
